Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is a remake of Big B's Shahenshah

The new upcoming movie of Harshvardhan Kapoor is “Bhavesh Joshi Superhero” is a martial arts action film about a young man who desires to continue doing the right and challenge the wrong. And on this journey, he recognizes that he’s intended to do enormous things that will transform him into the superhero from a common man. In 1988 Amitabh Bachchan comes up with a vigilante movie “Shahenshah” along with Meenakshi Sheshadri. The film was directed and produced by Tinnu Anand.

Although there is a gap of 3 decades the story remains the same. Both film hero fight against wrong things. As in Shahenshah, Amitabh Bachchan fought the cause for slum dwellers, while in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, Harshvardhan Kapoor is standing up against the water mafia. Amrish Puri was the villain of the piece in the former while latter has Nishikant Kamat acts as evil one.

This film is remembered for the famous dialogue “Rishtey mein hum tumhare baap lagtey hai…naam hai Shahenshah”. And now Harshvardhan mouths the dialogue “Hero paida nahi hota, banta hai”.

Other than Harshvardhan Kapoor, the film features Radhika Apte, Nishikant Kamat, Priyanshu Painyuli and Ashish Verma. Under the direction of Vikramaditya Motwane and Phantom films.
